Ok , I downloaded the Luxrender for windows7 64 bit .i have also purchased Reality 3 , which acts as the bridge for Luxrender and Poser Pro 2012. I installed Luxrender  and when it finished installing it came up with a window asking about Blender. Now I have checked the download that I downloaded and I did download the right Luxrender .So why is it asking me about Blender?  And do I install Reality 3 after  I have installed luxrender?

Is there any  instruction as to how to install  these two programs ?  The computer I do all my work on is not connected to the internet. Can anybody help me with this ? I'd like to be able to use the programes , Luxrender and Reality 3 .

You don't need blender or to installa any lender files. In the installation of Lux simoly uncheck to installa the script for Blender or any ther exporter.

You can find all the details in the Reality User's Guide, which is installed with Reality.

An update on my progress .Haven't actually got to installing reality 3 yet . installed the service pak 3 .1 for Poser and I lost my runtime ( my runtime is on an external hard drive ) Poser wasn't recognising it .So I had to uninstall Poser Pro and reinstall it. Had a few problems there but its all working now .I have to check on the cpu not gpu .I am running a Geforce GTX  560 graphics card .Once I have done this will check on the next criteria to run Reality3 .I'll keep you posted when I actually get to installing Luxrender and reality  HOPEFULLY I won't have any problems .Just remember I'm not a computer programer  ,and my knowledge is limited .But I'm sure that there are people here who have the time and patience to help me get luxrender and reality 3 set up and running .Thanks for your patience and understanding .

From what I can find  out it appears that my graphics card is OpenCL capable. There appears to be no definite information about this .All I need to do is download a driver .So I will install Reality 3 based on this .Not too sure if my Geforce GTX 560 graphics card is or is not capable .At the very least if the driver is not compatable then it probably won't work .So I guess I would then have to uninstall  the driver .Is there THAT much of a difference if I don't use OpenCL.

I strongly suggest to avoid GPU acceleration until your are very comfortable with Reality and Lux. using the GPU is notmjust a matter of switching a flag, a lot of things are different and you risk to add a lot of complications at the beginning, where you need to keep things simple.

No, I am saying exactly the opposite. OpenCL is the GPU acceleration. You should avoid it until you have a good grasp on Reality and Lux.

When I try to regiser Reality 3 the automatic button and the manual button is greyd out I cannot use them it won't let me . The only button that I can use is the cancel button Why is that ? The order number I am using is the one supplied by Renderosity for the purchase of Reality 3 .Is this the right order number ?

The buttons are disabled because you didn't enter ghe license number. Without that number  there is no point in trying to submit the data. Once you enter the license number the buttons become active.
