Does anyine know where I might find a working "no ears" morph for M3? I downloaded such a morph from
http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/details.php?item_id=49081
But it doesn't work.
Thanks -

I googled "m3 no ears morph" and found this
http://www.sharecg.com/v/23440/
Does that help?

That one works for me.

Aproctor, I found that too, but they're only .obj files. I'm not sure how to use them....
Wrywulf, what did you do? Just shrink the ear size?

Arrowhead - are you using DS or Poser?

The no ears morph is an injection pose in RuntimelibrariesPoseM3 No Ears when installed from the zip. I loaded M3, double clicked the No Ears INJ and the morph loaded at 1 with the ears gone, the image on the right. The image on the left is with the morph set to -1. The morph is under the Body and the Head. The morph loads with the body dial set to 1. If you turn both, they will work together and make the morph not work how you want.

Alisa, I'm using Poser
Wyrwulf, when I downloaded that .zip file, the only things in it were the following files
M3-no-earsINJ.png
M3-no-earsREM.png
M3-no-earsINJ.pz2
M3-no-earsREM.pz2
I think something's missing. It seems to me that there's some other file(s) that are supposed to be there as well.
I followed your steps - the same thing I did last night - and got the same results. Nothing. No morph shows up in either the head or body hierarchy

It sounds like you have a settings issue with your unzip program. There should be a setting to extract with relative paths. If you still have the four files, you can put them in one of your pose folders, and they should work.

I just did that, and now the morph dial at least shows up in the list of morphs when I load M3. It didn't even do that before. But the morph doesn't work.
Y'know, I give up. I just give the @#$%^&* up. I really do.
For the last month, since I switched computers to something that at least runs with speed and reliability, I've had nothing but problems with anything related to 3D. UV Mapper Pro won't run in Windows 8, half my textures didn't show up when I transferred stuff off my old PC, and now this.
This must be a sign that I need to find something else to do with my time. Sorry, I'm not taking it out on you, but I'm just so fed up and disheartened by one problem after another that I don't think I can take it anymore.

I'm sorry you're having such trouble. I know this can be frustrating :(
If you want to try the obj files, here's how:
Bring in your figure
Select the head
Click OBJECT/LOAD MORPH TARGET
Click on the little box with ... on it and then find the obj file
The Label will change to the name of the obj.
Check box "attempt vertex order correction" At least you may have to check that :)
Click OK
There should be a new dial under Morph in the parameters section for the head.
Hope that helps

Thanks Alisa - I'll give it a try tomorrow. I'm heading off to bed. It's 1am where I am, and I think I'm finally tired enough to sleep. I hope so.... gotta be up for work at 7am.
Thanks again -
Steve

I just tried it, and when I loaded the morph target and clicked "OK", I got an error message that said "Target geometry has the wrong number of vertices".
So in spite if the fact that this figure is M3 from Daz, and the morph targets are made for M3, it's telling me that M3's head is made up of too many or too few vertices.
See. That's what I mean. It should work, but it didn't. Just one more thing wrong somewhere...... One aggravating problem after another. After another. It never stops.

It did that to me when I didn't check the box "attempt vertex order correction" like I mentioned. But it didn't when I checked the box. I'm using Poser Pro 2012 so don't know if it's different in other versions.
