I’m not exactly new to CG, but I’ve never really sat down and studied it thoroughly, other than reading “Practical Poser 7” back in the day. I’m thinking I should take a couple months and put myself through some good courses or tutorials. I’m just a hobbyist. I haven’t found anything at the local community college, but then most of my free time tends to be at odd hours, anyway. I’ve seen Dreamlight’s stuff so those are on my list. Anyone else I should look at? Some parameters: - this is for “making a graphic novel” type work, not games or movies - not interested in animation - modeling is a secondary concern - mostly looking for training on making the best possible renders - how to compose a scene, light it, artistic considerations, better workflow, tips/tricks, time saving, etc. - I mostly work in Poser and Photoshop. Not opposed to other software. - I'm not looking so much for free YouTube tutorials as much as courses. Definitely don't mind (indeed expect to) pay for quality courses. Thanks!

You could have a look at the Poser Expo stuff. They are selling individual recordings from the webinar - around an hour long and then they are having master classes throughout the year

I've seen Digital Lighting & Rendering by Jeremy Birn recommended in a bunch of places.
I know you're not looking for free vids but there is a good collection listed here: http://www.jurn.org/dazposer/?page_id=56 Maybe there will be something of interest?
