Hey Guys,
I have only been using Poser 9 (on a Mac) for about 3 months, and I was wondering if there is a way to save Victoria 4.2 to my library after I have added base morphs, hi-res skin, morphs ++, elite body shape, A4 base morphs, The Girl 4 ? I tride a tutorial but it was for Poser 7 and I don't know if thats the problem ? I'm doing render line-ups of all my V4 characters so when I want one I can just look at the jpg's instead of trying to remember what they look like. If anyone has a method PLEASE HELP !!!
Thanks Roger

I only have Poser 7 but load v4, add morphs, clothing , hair etc and in the figures library create a new folder like MyCharacters and click the + sign to save the figure to the library. You get a message about the figure being part of a group, so say yes to saving the group.
Check the manual for details for Poser 9, its available from the help menu.

Just add it to the library. (Poser includes and extensive manual found under the Help menu) I select the Face camera to get a preview image of the head.
Also, make sure you hace unchecked Use Binary Morph Targets in Poser's General Preferences to avoid possible issues with the morphs being saved.

Or you could do something outrageous like read page 160 in the manual.

Hey Guy's
I know most of you have been using this software for years. I have 3 months experience. I have read page 160 of the manual, I have tried what you said to do, but it does not load. I thank you for your response, but it's not working. I guess I will just keep loading each morph, and with time I will figure it out. Thanks for your insight.

If we take it step by step perhaps we can see the sticking point.
Is your figure selected in the scene?
Are you saving to a figure library?
After you click the "+" add button do you see any pop up dialogs and if so what do they say?
Do you see your newly saved figure in the library? If not do you see your new figure after you refresh the library?

Hey Phil,
The the step by step approach worked. The problem was I was not saving to the figure library.
I think I was trying to save to the pose library. Sometimes I feel really dumb using this program. But it so much fun. Thank you all for your help and patience with a newbie. I'm sure I'll be back soon for more advice.
Thanks again
Roger

OK cool.
If it helps any you would not be the first to have done that, and probably will not be the last :)

good that you now have it sorted out. Poser can be a pain in that you have to get everything right. It helps if you understand the runtime layout and why things are seperated the way they are.
good luck with your pics.
,post again if you have more problems, we are not as bad as it may seem ;-)

Yeah I starting th get it, but there is a fairly steep learning curve (for me at least). You guys are great help. Seeing as I'm here I have another question, when I inject Aiko 4 the head comes out wiht V4 size eyes and I have not figures out what I'm doing wrong ?
Thanks again
Roger

Presuming that A4 is installed in the same location as V4 (if not, reinstall it there) it sounds like V4 needs the morphs reinitialized. Is there an a icon on your desktop to do this? There is in Windows, but I've never used a Mac...

If there isn't an icon, the actual reinitialization script is in the runtime V4 is installed in, either in /Runtime/Libraries/!DAZ/ or /Runtime/Libraries/!DAZ/Victoria 4/ (I'm not at my Poser machine right now).
Edit; I found the Readme on line. The script is /Runtime/libraries/!DAZ/DzCreateExPFiles-V4.command
