Just tried to install B3 and KPT 3 on the new 'puter and Mr. Gates said NO! At least I got KPT 5 to run OK. Guess I will need another dedicated machine with earlier OS.

That's a bit sad but DAZ® isn't really high on upgrading Bryce IIRC from the last time...last in the line up....

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Bryce runs fine on Windows 8 on the new laptop I got last spring...although it does not run any faster or better as I had hoped!  I don't remember doing anything special to make it work - just installed it like normal.

@ ArtByMivan..I guess try and try again as Bec got it up on a latop....good to hear someone got it on....be a while before I change from Win7 myself....too expensive if I wanted to take advantage of the cool stuff...this monitor wouldn't do it I fear....so it'd be a whole new system purchace....not on my pension....

Tell me about the pension stuff! Anyway I am rapidly falling in disfavour of win 8 and its marketing pages but we got this machine as "open box" from Worstbuy for under $400. So can I install a second HD with an older OS or do I need another tower? Got an old HP dual quad but it probably needs a new HD as I think the old one got maxy virused. The MB is slotted for 16megs of Ram but we could never get it to find the additional 8 megs. Been looking at the ASUS on Walmart.com. for under $500 that will supposedly take 32megs and I have 16 in stock.

Although my Bryce and other software runs on Windows 8, I'm not that much of a fan - would rather have Windows 7 on the machine, as most of the "cool" stuff is aimed at tablets and other touch-screen gadgets and don't work as slick when using a mouse.
