Attached Link: Free Leather Foot Stool

This is a model I did over the weekend in 3dsmax 2012. A highly detailed, but relatively simple, leather tufted hydraulic foot stool, offering a comfortable adornment to your arch/viz or character scenes. Only 14,086 polygons total; 99.9% quads, and just a few tris.

The model is available in several scaled .OBJ formats, for importing easily into other applications, like Blender and Poser. It comes complete with COLOR and BUMP maps for the leather tufted SEAT, and several distinct material groups for the other parts, like the base, handle, and wheels. Each part of the object is carefully UV unwrapped to provide minimal distortion in the textures. There are no textures for the metal or plastic parts of the stool, but they ARE UV mapped if you wanted to make your own, but simple metal and plastic procedural materials work fine, and are recommended.

You can download the .OBJ version from the freestuff area here (the .max version should be approved here soon):

Alternatively, you can also download the model from the following locations:

Turbosquid.com (Both .max and .obj versions as separate downloads)
ShareCG.com (The .max and .obj as one zip download)

You are free to use or modify this object as you see fit, for use in your scenes as a scene filler or character prop, or any other type of situation where you may need a quality furniture item to render. This model can be used for both commercial and non commercial renders. You may not, however, resell this object, or any derivative of it; individually or as part of a package/set.

Enjoy it, and let me know if you use it. I always love to see how people are using my models. Thanks.

Thank you very much.  Let me know if you need any assistance with the object in any way.

Also, as a sidenote, the .max scene file version has been approved, and added to Freestuff here on Rosity.  It is fully compatible with 3dsmax 2012 and higher.

The benefit of using the native scene file is that all the wheels and various parts of the object are separated, which would allow for easier animation.  The modifier stack is collapsed, however, but still the material and smoothing groups can be easily accessed in sub-object level.

Download the .max version in freestuff here:
