I haven't done anything with her. Since I can't buy anything, I only have her base, and there isn't much there.

If I had a nickle for ever time a woman told me to get lost, I could buy Manhattan.

Dawn's Eye geometry/UV maping really bugs me. it makes it very difficult to get rid of the rasor sharp lines between the pupil/iris and the iris/eyewhite. V4 had a workaround of using a transmap to transition the iris/eyewhite but the way the UV map is made for Dawn I can't use this trick.

Been playing with the "Essential for Dawn" clothing pack - fantastic pack and excellent value.

i7 5960X, 32GB RAM, GTX 1080Ti, GTX 980 Ti, Windows 10 Professional. Running Daz Studio 4.11, Poser 11, Vue Inf 7, Photoshop CS4

A polite lady will always knock before entering. Again, a Powerage "Essential". Castle a freebie from here. Sword a Platinum Club freebie from Daz. The more I work with her, the more I like her. Have to wait for later this week for more items.

I would suggest you send this to Hive Wire folks. They seem to be VERY responsive to technical suggestions. Here, it is not likey that anyone with ability to make changes will see it. Same with anyone else's isues.

This thread topic is to share our creations, rather then to report or resolve technical issues. Lets not get it too side tracked. Perhaps those could go in a diffeent thread :-).

I am quite impressed with her especially with meipe's ultimate breast morphs.

Wow, lululee! Really great! Is this a character you've created or a pre-fab or what? I might have to give her another go.

Nothing special, just a test render, using Snarly's EZSkin and a couple of light emitter panels (no other lights in the scene). I have used a different texture on the Fashionista hair though as the highlights on the original texture annoyed me. Oh, and a first use of the morphbrush to give her some nipples.

Rendered in PPro2014, GC and SSS enabled, exported as a 100% jpg and then saved for web in Irfanview at 90% to get the filesize down.

I was wondering more about the character/texture/morph than the breasts in lululee's render.

These are all looking great I have to say, though I see problems that I believe I shouldn't see in 2013, which means that I/some of us have to wait a good while for the inevitble slew of conflicting joint-fix packs and everything to come out.

She is a character I am working on.

The breast morphs are from meipe.

I took her into ZBrush and made a waist tighten morph and also narrowed her chin a bit. Outside of that she is "out of the box" morphs.

Her texture is the basic one she arrives with using face 2. I didn't even change the original material settings or add any ezskin to her.

She really does have potential. to me she has a real "sexy kitten' look to her.

Here's my first attempt. Actually it's mostly a test render of a facemorph I've made for her, but it turned out pretty nice I think.

I haven't bought any of the morphs or clothes for her yet because I wanted to see if she was any good first L I'm cheap, I guess. But I really like her so I guess I'll have to get her some clothes other than the bikini. And possibly the morphs too.. So I can see which ones that aren't there ;) and make them...

Here is my (heavily postworked) image of Dawn. For some reason her eyelashes didn’t render and I painted them on in Photoshop. I made new transmaps for the lashes which work fine though. So far I like her hands better than V4 and her face is prettier right out of the box. But I'm getting really frustrated with the lack of morphs and I have sooooo much V4 content, not sure how much I want to invest in her. The eye controls (as someone else mentioned) are terrible and I had to extend the limits and there needs to be a morph to increase iris size. If someone did a really good morph set for a REALLY good price (similar to V4 Morphs ++) and some super cheap clothes for her, I could see investing more time with her. I'm rendering a new image now, but because of lack of morphs, it still looks like the same girl...

Is your dynamic stuff available?

That's just a tester I did to check a few things out.

Took about 2 minutes to make.

I used Lyrra's Dawn Dev pack.

The advantage of dynamic is that there is no grouping or rigging required, so I can knock things like this off very easily.

Now... If I could only do it as conforming with handles. Lol.

Still have to find time to do that.

Another advantage of dynamic is easily adding layers of clothing, draping one item over another.

Did you also use a 3D modeling program such as Silo?

For sure, posing skirts using body handles is character forming.

This is my first complete image with Dawn. I used the Exotique morph and skin with makeup I added in PS. This is one of my attempts at dynamic hair using the skull cap from NanetteTredoux's free center-parted hair. I used Poser Pro 2014 with indirect lighting.

Can someone tell me how to make my own skull cap or if someone already has one for Dawn that I can use to try to create dynamic hair for Dawn that I could offer as freebies (if I can finally figure out the hair room options)?

She needs one sleeping on top of her head. I had pet rats for 2 days before my husband made me trade them in for guinea pigs. One of them spent most of its time out of the cage sleeping on top of my head--eyes open of course.

Here's a more human looking elf woman- she can pass for human with her hair over her ears and contact lenses.

I made morphs for the eyes, nose, mouth, lips, chin, jaw, head/face width and size-and more Vulcan looking elf ears. The Hivewire morphs are more long and thin.

I used the fitting room to fit V4 clothing. Mostly works.

I've held off on using Dawn because she looks cross eyed and I can't get past that. Kind of wishing someone would come up with a fix for her funky looking eye placement.

Yes, thanks "Great Uncle LROG", posing & expression morphs, but not shaping except for boobs... Unless I'm missing something... And now I just did the cutest render of her by creating negative expressions in the dials and mixing them all up and I'm starting to think I'm now going to have to come up with at least an extra $80 or so to get what I need to continue with her. Luckily I do pin-ups, so I won't need a ton of clothes and I already have so much for V4.

I'm really liking the expressions I can do with her mouth, but not so much with her eyes which get really wonky and roll up into her head too easily and are hard to get to look where you want them to. Hopefully the morph set will help. I'm doing a Steampunk render now with her eyes covered with the goggles and her mouth looks adorable, something that would be hard to reproduce on V4, but she's still in that freebie bikini, with a brown leather texture though... Aaah, I need $$$ NOW!!!

My first load. Default texture with EZSkin and a bit of morph brush alteration of the face. Set in Mec4D's Stonehenge. Wearing the lovely freebie Ballkleid gown (FreeFashion). SSS etc.

EDIT: Forgot the hair. It's an old Adorana dynamic with my custom materials.

The eye reflections are a little much, but otherwise, pretty happy with how she rendered.

Edit_ the ears are a mix of Hivewire morph and mine-I did not have any homemade morphs that make the ears long enough to be seen through the hair-from Hivewire.

OK Two versions of Oriana: First with her own shaders, the non-SSS version. Then with the shaders replaced with EZSkin. Naturally, EZSkin kills the makeup as it's shader based, and it's not quite fair to compare a SSS shader with a non-SSS counterpart, but I meant to put EZSkin on her so I saw no reason in loading the SSS version. I just forgot about the makeup L

Anyway.. Oriana with a mix of her own and my Dawn130 morphs. She's a BEAUTY right out of the box. I just like to tweak GG

Where the heck do I find Dawn. I'v looked everywhere but can not find her.

Hivewire3D's website. I'm not sure if we're allowed to link to it since they sell merchandise. There is a link from PoserWorld.com to Hivewire's site.

Since Rosity gains a lot from people buying Dawn stuff here, I don't think there's a problem in linking to Dawn. And in any case non-clickable links are afaik always allowed (for instance to 'rotica)

So I've been experimenting with TrekkieGrrrl's morphs and was going to post it here, but I liked it so much I uploaded it for the contest and you're not allowed to post anywhere else. But more renders soon. Does anyone know what the extra file upload on the contest page is for? There's an upload for an image, a thumb, and a space for a description, but there's also another file upload slot and I didn't know what to put there...

No. I'm a die-hard Poser user. I've never been able to figure out DS and love both the dynamic cloth and hair rooms in Poser. I'm just currently in the transition between not being able to work and actually receiving a disability pension so I can't spend as much on Poser as I used to. Your morphs are in my cart for when I can spend again. I really want the stand-alone texture converter when it comes out, too.

Anonedel, that teen character of yours is the best I've seen done with a poser figure. Do you have any tips on how to reproduce what you did to get Dawn to look like that.

Yea, I've been very involved with Dawn since her release. I have BrunoD for Dawn in development and a bunch of clothing and working on some environment stuff right now.

Nice to see ya. I've mostly over at the Hivewire forums.

DAZ just ignores Dawn and with good reason but if I need a Dawn fix then Hivewire is where I go to get all the new gossip and what not.

Land mass you see is one of the 13 morphs I've made for my SphereEnviron I'm developing. Mixing them up gives you endless posiblities. I just don't know how I'm going to get all this over to the Poser users since I'm primarily a DAZ Studio and ZBrush user!

Not to derail the thread, but is it a problem of file format or some other difference? Not trying to be funny, I honestly don't know. I've used Studio maybe once since it came out and that was version 2 something.

Well in the DS realm folks want native so that's .duf file format and Poser it would be either PP2 or CR2 depending on how the morphs are saved out. I've exported once from DS using a script to create a PP2 and it's all fine for the most part BUT what happens is that if there is tiling that is ignored in the surfaces area of the PP2 file so all that's lost. In the .duf files it's not, it loads up exactly how it's saved out.

Tiling textures takes about 3 seconds to do in Poser, and will reload if saved in your preset (prop, figure, or anything that has materials) the way all settings in materials will. I'm assuming, of course, that you're tiling the texture and not UV mapping to tile the way Stonemason and other resource conservationists do (maps take up much more resources than polys- they need to be uncompressed to be used). Don't get me wrong, I hate having to recreate work in general, but it shouldn't be an actual problem.

So if that is a difficulty for you, I can show you how to do it. I tile textures in my hair materials all the time.
