While I actually have enough other projects to finish, I often do things in Poser just for the heck of it. :-)
And even though the DSON importer more or less works on my machine, I can't get used to "imported" figures.
So here's what I did:
Load Vicky 4 and ZERO her.
Load Genesis 2 Female.
Dial her V4 body to "1" and carefully repose her hands, fingers, legs and feet so that they EXACTLY match Vicky 4.
Export Genesis 2 as an object file.
Load her into a modeller and weld and regroup her chest and abdomen so that the groups match Vicky 4.
Load her back into Poser and add the Vicky 4 rigging to her.
Do some minor falloff zone editing.
Result:
A 100% Poser compatible Vicky 6 that can wear V4 clothing without any conversion.
So far I transferred only a few expression morphs. I have to see if there is an easy way to get all the erc expression morphs into the borrowed cr2 as well as the V4 bodymorphs.
Maybe I try the weightmapped V4 rig or do some weightmapping myself to get better bending.
Maybe do a more realistic bodymorph while I'm at it. The Genesis 1/2 scaling is completely broken in Poser, but V4's scaling now works very nicely, so changing her proportions is absolutely no problem any more.
Also have a V4toSP3 figure, so maybe I regroup her again to match SP3 and add her to my weightmapped 3rd Gen family.
In any case, when I want to play with Vicky 6, I don't need that stupid DSON importer anymore.
