I know Carrara has a plant room that can turn out some pretty awesome results, but this

looks amazing! If I had 500 bucks, I'd grab right up.

I don't know, the plant editor doesn't fail me often. It just takes a lot of time to make a good plant. 1# is of coarse, good textures. I use Lisa's botanicals a lot, but that is because they work so well with the surface replicator
I'll give this a check, Ya, $500 is a bit much.
Hmmm, trying to mimic those palnts with the editor in carrara may make for a nice challenge.

Oh, I use Lisa's botanicals a lot. A great time saver and, yes, they work great with the surface replicator. Can't go wrong with Lisa's stuff. :)

Could you give us a source for getting "Lisa's botanicals".
Thanks much.

And just to add, Lisa's plants are great and I use them often, but I have found that they benefit from at least one level of smoothing in the modeling room in Carrara to look their best.

Might be worth the $500 if it comes with a comercial license.

Now, there's a name I haven't seen in a while. Cool.

For all you plant lovers...
Orestes Graphics is starting a new series of botanicals. If these are even half as hardcore as some of his buildings, you're in for a treat.

thanks tsarist, kinda got used to Lisa's PC priced plants .
I guess these ones at 50 percent off work out at 6 plants for 10 bucks, so pretty cheap !
Do I need more plants? Hang the expense :)
booksbydavid posted Thu, 19 September 2013 at 10:15 AM
Thanks, tsarist. At the moment, I'm trying to cut down (it isn't working very well) but I'm trying. I must look away from the pretty plants or I will be doomed to purchase.

I hear you Books and Headwax
I'm trying to cut back too. I saw some of Jack Tomalin's stuff in the sale and I had to just say "no"
That's not a reflection of Jack's work, just a reflection of the money I'm not in a position to spend right now.
Yep, I just pointed my browser away from the pretty pictures, much to Jack's dismay.

You have points you can use to take up to 30% off.
booksbydavid posted Fri, 20 September 2013 at 8:05 PM
Actually, the Hivewire prices are pretty close to the nonPC Daz prices for Lisa's plants. And yes, the points system does take a nice chunk out of the final price. One other plus when you look at Lisa's bundles over at Hivewire is that you can pick and choose what you want in a bundle. I really like that feature.
