Subject: Render to Disk Crashes and Image Corruption

Hi,

I'm having trouble with Bryce 7.1.0.109 Pro. When I try to render 48-bit files using "render to file" I am periodically getting corrupted renders, and -- less often -- crashes. This happens whether I export to tiff, png, etc. Doesn't seem to happen with 24-bit files, though I haven't used 7.1 much. I'm using windows 7 ultimate, 64 bit.

Haven't had any trouble with render to file in the past, however, I seem to remember reading that it was somewhat problematic.
Anybody else have this happen? Any solutions?

Cheers,
Doittle

I have the same problem.  Don't have a fix for it though.

Post a pointless bug report you 2...it might get some attention

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

I just rendered an 8.8X11 @ 300ppi with no trouble. Have another image that will go bigger but I am waiting for Daz to fix the noggins rabbit files as I need a little white fuzzy bunny to finish it.

It might help to know what system you have.  Assuming you have more than 8 native cores (AMD 8 core or Intel 16 core - 8 native, 8 virtual), then set your render priority to maximum.

I also assume you have win 7 with 16g ram and hopefully an SSD drive.

That's about the max that B7 can handle.
