Hi
I'm finally going to ask this, it's been bugging me for ages but I was too lazy to post.
When I import video into Poser it always asks me Change format to Fit Video, Yes or No.
Which ever way I do it, it doesn't work.
If I say yes it enlarges the window to the correct size but the imported video stays small.
If I say no, which is what I do normally, it give me a window the size that I have set in the preference, with a small image of the imported video in it.
This is what I normally do, then I drag the corners of the window to match the video image.
I'm importing the video at 1920 by 1080, and I'm thinking of getting a second monitor so I can move the interface off the main screen.
But that won't be a lot of help if I can't get the windows to display in a size larger then what I'm getting.
Can anyone tell me what's going on here.
The video is only for placement, I don't have to export it, I output the Poser content at 1920 by 1080 and then I combine the Poser material and the video later.
Any ideas wellcome.

I'm not sure, but you mentioned importing the video at 1920x1080. Is that the actual size of the video? Most videos are actually smaller and the computer just interpolates it into a full screen video.

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA
Using Poser since 2002. Currently at Version 11.1 - Win 10.

Hi
As far as I know it's really that size.
I'm capturing the video on my computer using Fraps, set to full frame.
When I run the video it fills the screen.
I opened the video in Premiere, grabbed a freeze frame and exported it.
I opened it in Photoshop and it measures 1920 by 1080.
I just captured the background footage image in Poser at the size it displays to check the dimensions.
If I tell it to not change the size of the window, the inseted video, appears 1028 by 580, and I can drag the window to fit that.
If I tell it Yes Change the Windows to fit the Video, it appears 927 by 527.
But the Window does change to 1920 by 1080, so it seems that Poser thinks the image is that size.
What I would like to do, is to be able to display a 1280 by 720, or 1600 by 900 window in Poser and have the footage fit it.
If I import a still image it fills the frame.

Ps. If I set the window at 1028 by 580 before importing the video it fits perfectly. So I could do that and avoid having to drag the window to size. It's like Poser has a setting someplace that tells it how big to display imported video, if I could just make that 1280 by 720 I would be all set.

Hi
I just came back to say that I have searched everyplace and I can't find anyplace that talks about importing video into poser.
I guess I'll just have to keep working in the small window.
I doen't have any effect on the final output, but it would be nice to be able to work a little larger.
