Why are most product pages archived for viewing, even though the products are no longer available. Yet, a few give this message:
"Oh snap!
This product is not currently available for viewing."

From a consumer standpoint, it's some times mighty nice to be able to view a product page later for reference.

When products are removed from the Marketplace that have previously been active they do show up to view the product pages so customers who have these in their purchase history can still view the product page to see something about the product if needed.
That specific product is in a different type status right now due to something the vendor may be doing with this product soon (I'm not sure of the exact reason it's in the status it's in) so due to that specific status, it's not available for viewing at all right now.
Hopefully that helps although I might be misunderstanding what you are asking:)

No, that explains it. I was just curious. I've seen the "Oh Snap" thing a few times and wondered what the difference was. :) Thanks.

All I know is this "OH snap!" stuff is VERY annoying! I see it ALL the time. I think the potential customer shouldn't be seeing a new product release until it is TRULY available for viewing.
This could be fixed I'm sure.

It's not new products that are being released that show this message. It should be a fairly rare occurance to see that specific message. If you see that a lot, then please let me know the url's that show this exact message because it's not a very common thing for marketplace products.
Thanks
