Can a prop that was made for DAZ (.duf?) be made into a .pp2 easily? I know nothing about DS since I am a Poser 7 user but someone said I should be able to use them, specifically Wilmap's Evening Clutch Purse. All the folders contain either .dsf or .duf files. If there was an .obj I could import it and manually apply the textures, but at the moment I'm at a loss. Any hints???

If you had a more recent version of Poser, you could use the DSON importer.
You would have to have DS installed and use it to make a Poser Companion File which would appear in your runtime as a PP2.
You could also use DS and export the purse as OBJ and go from there.

D3D's DSON Loader script can import Studio .duf files, but you need at least Poser 9 or PP-2012 with SR-3 installed and the DAZ DSON-Importer for Poser, too.Poser 7 won't work.
Alternatively, install DAZ Studio, load the object and export as an .obj or .pp2 file.

There is a DAZ Studio PP2 Exporter. It was designed for DS3, but it works 4.5.I did not create it. I just found the link in the Daz Studio forums.

I just found this thread, and I have a question...
Does this mean, if I have the DAZ DSON-Importer & D3D's DSON Loader script I can use duf files without having to install DAZ Studio on my computer?

Yes, as long as they work (some items lack Poser Companion Files because they won't work, or won't work well, in Poser - for example if they depend on a feature such as smoothing/collision detection in DS that the Importer doesn't include). Of course you will have to rework materials, but that would be equally true if you used DS to make your own Companion Files.
