I finally got high speed internet and have been kicking around the idea of downloading this program. When I first fell in love with fractal images, I was drawn to spirals.  It seems that no one does spirals anymore, but they are still my favorite fractal form. Does MB3D do spirals? I don't want to waste any of my download allowence on a fractal program that doesn't do spirals.

Thank you for your input!

Spirals are an inherent fact of Fractal Mathmatics, All Fractal Generators/Explorers can Produce Spirals. It's a Matter of your Patience and Perserverence whether you find them or not. The more experienced you get with Fractal Apps and the Formulas used the more Spirals you will discover and learn which formulas produce them and where to look for them.  Fractals are all about Exploration, you have to explore to find then when you do you'll find 1,000s more in the same neighborhood.

Here's a few of my Spirals off the top of my head from several different Fractal Apps. With the MB3D works you will find the Parameters for them, those will allow you to get some Idea the Formulas I used and where I was looking when I found the particulat shot.

You will also find in the Forums here, links to Parameters for J-Wildfire, Apophysis and FractalExplorer too as well as links to those Program Downloads, They are all Free Apps.

Lenord, I think you may have misunderstood. I've been playing with fractals since 2004. I have most of the freeware programs, and discovered my first fractal flame in a very early version of Apophysis, by sheer force of will and many many hours. LOL I just wondered if MB3D did spirals. I have a program called Incendia, and while it has spiral forms, the 3D aspect totally ruins them. Its more like working with XenoDream's holons. (yep, I have a version of that also) I thank you for the image links, and will check them out.
