I've been running Poser 8 under Windows 8.0 for a few months. THe last couple of days have proved to be a little frustrating due to the crashing of Poser 8 when working with large amounts of figures in one scene, but I figured that it was just due to the amount of figures in use.
Last night Windows offered an update to Windows 8.1 so I installed it. Everything seemed to work well until I tried to run Poser 8. Now, on start-up, I get the message that the exe file stopped working.
I have tried to run it under compatability mode (Windows 7 & 8), but I'm still getting this message.
Any ideas out there?

Poser 8 and Poser 9 will not run on win 8.1 (it taks the latest SR for Poser 10).
To get it working again, roll back the update, apply the following patch to windows to stop the IE11 update, and then let it update everything else

Thanks, Bill! Maybe I'll look into 10 then.

I will ammend the above slightly.
Windows 7 will have the same problem if IE is updated to 11. if you stop the IE update after riolling back, Poser 8 and 9 will work. the patch from microsoft stops it from happening again on the next update if you do roll back.
