I thought this was due to not being welded or connected in the mesh, as some of the vertices stick, and some don't. I took the OBJ into Blender and removed doubles, but no changes. I also took it into Hexagon, and moved around the vertices, edges and faces, and nothing splits...???
What else could be causing the split.
To rig it, I just take it into the setup room, add the rigging bones, autogroup and return to pose room.

I would try deleting the polygons next to the tear and then bridging the gap again just in case you are missing some 2 edged polygons.
Let me know if that solves it.

A child group must only touch its parent. Is it also touching a sibling?
Is the right thigh only touching the right buttock or is it also touching the left buttock? If so you'll see a split.
Not withstanding the above it is possible to overcome this by editing the CR2 file but my thinking is that it is best to understand the problem and know how to avoid it rather than to apply band aids.

Yea, I think so. There are only 3 groups at play here, and right and left buttock (on cookie) are touching in this section. I could probably regroup with a single line of Hip between them.

Yep, that fixed it, thanks Phil! I learned something new today! :)
