Subject: Any idea of what's going on here?

I'm working on a pair of heels in Blender 2.69 and for some reason this dark line appears in the upper part near the toes. There's a lesser crease on the side of the shoe which you can also see here. Can't figure out why it's there. There's no deformation in the mesh. I've deleted that area and reformed it, and it's still there. Anybody got any idea of what's going on here?

Try either selecting to remove all duplicate vertices or invert polys... This is not un-common.

Hey! that worked fine. Well, both of them seem to work. I tried inverting polys beofre but that didn't seem to do anything. Oh well! Thanks!

One of those things Blender still seems to have issues with: an inconsistent behaviour with wrong-facing polys. Oh well, in the grand scheme of things, I'd rather they spiff up the interface a bit (a la Andrew Price suggestions)... I reckon that should take precedence.

I vote for Spiffing up the interface as well. Blender's a great tool, but damned if I can figure out where everything is. Even when i learn something I have to do it several times in order to remember it.

For instance, I'm not even sure if there is a "copy?paste" function in Blender, but I've seen other people do it, even if it's just to another layer. Damned if I can figure out how.

Well, for node setups, you've got those little doobrie-wackers (like in the attached picture...) 😄
