Hello!
I have downloaded and installed Poser 10 via the SM download manager. Now I would like to read the manual. But when I click on Help - Reference manual... nothing happens. So I searched for a manual file (pdf or something like this) in the program and runtime directories. Also found nothing!
So, where is the manual? An extra download?

Thank you!
I have seen this page. So the manual should be inside my software, but it seems it is not. I have not found it yet.
And the manuals for download on this page are not for my version. I have Poser 10!

I think the OP already pointed out that this menu item is not working.
So - I went to my copy of Poser Pro 2014 on my Windows 8 machine and tried it and guess what!?!?!?
IT DOES NOTHING FOR ME, TOO.
So I looked around inside my Poser installation and the manual simply is not there. There is no PDF file for the manual.
I suggest you contact Smith Micro.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Thanks bagginsbill!
So I am not alone with this issue. I think you are right, I will get in contact with SM about that and as soon as I have a solution I will post it here.

OK, I installed from CD, mine works. Sorry for the misunderstanding

I have the download version. Maybe thats the difference.
willyb53, since it is working with you, can you tell me if the manual is a pdf file and where it is located?
This could be helpful.
willyb53 posted Mon, 02 December 2013 at 2:52 PM
Yes, it is a PDF file (47 meg), located in the same folder as the poser executable.
Note: I did not install poser pro to program files, I got gunshy after doing that on vista. It is installed in user space.

Ok, thank you very much!
I have no pdf file in this (or any other) Poser folder. Maybe it is missing in the download version. I have already contacted SM and I wait for an answer.

See my signature as to why this wasn't noticed until now...
I've got a manual in my PP2014 installation (download version)in Windows 7. Very strange; was a content file perhaps not installed?...
EDIT; Like Bill, I didn't install Poser to c:Program Files...

Ok, I have the solution for everyone who is interested!
SM support told me that the manual is not included in the main program download. You have to download and install the "Support Files" to get the manual.
Wow, pretty huge download (more than 1 GB) if you only need the manual :-)
vilters posted Mon, 02 December 2013 at 4:41 PM
* I told you so.
There is more in the support file then only the manual.
And you will find the manual in your shared runtime. (or wherever you put your personal runtime)*
Poser 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7,
P8 and PPro2010, P9 and PP2012, P10 and PP2014 Game

Yes, you did, but I did not read that until I have posted my solution :-)
So, what else is in there? Anything useful?
I have not downloaded any of the additional download packs. I have a really huge Victoria 4 library to work with and - to be honest - I am not really interested in the additional smithmicro figures and their casual clothes. Everything I need is Vicky and her stuff and some props from here and other stores.
