I have tried now and then to put lightning in scenes and it hasn't turned out the best. However, here I have used simple 2d planes with transparency for both the clouds and lightning. The lightning also has a cube light parented to it.

Well that worked out well...good job...

Once in a while I look around,
I see a sound
and try to write it down
Sometimes they come out very soft
Tinkling light sound
The Sun comes up again

Is there a propellor on the tail of the German plane?..odd that...or would that be an impellor?

Its a Dornier Pfeil, a remarkable airplane that as so many others was to little and to late to turn the tide for the Germans.
