It is growing so fast, there's no way one can learn it all quickly... amazing program, Blender!

Well thanks. I really enjoy modelling and Blender is a great tool for that. Sometimes I get so excited about some new tool or trick I have to come in here and runoff at the mouth. :)

Thanks Lobo3433. It's nice to have a Blender friendly place. It kills me when people go on about how hard Blender is to learn. It has a bit of a learnig curve but no so software with as much going on as Blender doesn't. I saw a thread over on Blenderartist.org where they were griping about to many people bragging on Blender. Fan Boys is what that they called em. Seems they are worried about impressing the Proffessionals. Eh.. frak the professionals... Blender is cool for so many reasons. 1) powerful/versatile 2)lots of learning material 3) a GREAT! community of folks behind it 4) and it's FREE!!!
I shall continue to brag.
Ok I.m done ranting. Honest :)

Well I came to Blender after being disappointed about the lack of developement for Hexagon which was the first tool I learned on and was really ready to give up modeling all together but the improvements of Blender since the introduction of 2.5 has given me the opportunity to try it again and grant not a pro in any sense of the word but feel comfortable enough that sharing what I have learned and learning more as I go along has been a fun experince. And I really have to say I think our Blender community here on Renderosity is one of the best and friendliest anywhere. Here I can ask question and someone will chime in with help have not seen that same level of true community else where.

I agree, Lobo. There is a bit of a sense of "exclusivity" and too many instances of "RTFM" from some of the "seasoned user" set to appeal much to folk who have a life and 3D isn't it, who have to balance family and work and all that with hobbies such as 3D art.

I have shuddered to ask questions at other forums. Not to long ago asked a question in another forum and the answer to the question I ask was why dont I check my spelling and punctuation first before asking question and of course to discourage even further it became a thread on how if I can't spell what am I doing using Blender. So needless to say that is one forum I will not be going back to. Here I am proud of the community we have and will brag about it all the time. :thumbupboth:

It was just a confirmation that some forums like RobynsVeil stated they feel they are exclusive and have a sense of superiority which is fine their lost in the long term. Here is where my time and effort is devoted to and only one other forum that has the same values I have found here and besides learning I feel like I have made some great connections here.
