As some of you may know or remember, I have been trying to contact Content Paradise about becoming a seller.  I could have gone with Renderosity, or RDNA, but frankly, making Poser clothes for the native Poser People just seemed more appropriate at what is supposed to be THE Poser store. Anyway, it's not quite a done deal just yet, but I've been offered a chance to be a seller at CP. That's what I consider the good news.

The BAD news is that it means I probably will not be offering any freebie clothes for a while for Rex, Roxie, Miki 4, or Anastasia  in my Freestuff space here at Rendo or on ShareCG. Although you may still be able to find props and accessories for them there.

That means that most of my upcoming freebies will probably be offerings for P7 Kate and Ben and the Poser G2 people. I don't know whether you consider that good or bad news.

I don't consider this bad; you are taking the next step in your life.  Congratulations.  It's about time you get paid for your efforts.  Good luck.

Good artists getting paid for their work = purely good news.

You've gone through the stages properly, doing a long "apprenticeship" with lots of feedback.  Time for the journeyman stage!

Good news for you! If you want to, you can always meet everyone half way..... sell your items for a price everyone can afford. That's the greatest thing about CP, they do not dictate prices. Most customers do not realize that at all, but most stores keep the prices artificially high and dictate prices to vendors. I've been using a low price strategy at CP for years now and it works very well. Many more customers can afford and my items I still make more then enough to make it worthwhile being a vendor.

Artwork and 3DToons items, create the perfect place for you toon and other figures!

Due to the childish TOS changes, I'm not allowed to link to my other products outside of Rendo anymore :(

Food for thought.....

You know, it's been really fun to watch your progress these past couple of years. Go for it, you've been working hard!  Best of luck to ya!

Heh, who knows, maybe someone will find a legitimate use for that Content Tab in Poser yet.

Good for you.  I hope you make enough to be able to quit your day job.

Doesn't sound like bad news to me that you can't offer freebies.  You can always do what Daz3d does.  They will come out with a free texture for a model, but you have to buy the model in order to use it.

People don't mind paying for good content.

Definitely sounds like good news. Hope it works out!

I'm not sure where the bad news is in this.

You have released a lot of freebies, and have shown that you have what it takes.

Some time ago I think you said that, someday you wanted to be a content creator.

You set the bar and you achieved it as well, that day is here.

Sounds like great news from this end.

That's great news Earl :-)

I'm debating whether to release this as a last time freebie or not or to save it as a first item for sale. I'm leaning towards the latter. I was influenced by one of Britney Spears outfits in her music video "*Hit me Baby One More Time*".

It makes sense to sell content for Poser figures at the official store. I am still only a customer there, but I look forward to seeing your content in the store and I wish you every success.

Thanks, Nannette. I just turned in some tax papers and they say some time after  the holidays. I already have about three items for Roxie that I want to put in.

Good ON ya, EClark! You do use Blender, if I remember correctly, for modelling your content?

Go for your life... you deserve to start making a bit of money for all your hard work. Whilst I'm a huge believer in free-and-open-source, I do also think a day's work SHOULD reap other rewards than just satisfaction at a job well done.
After all, ya gotta eat, hey?
