**C** as Sicilian **Cart**!

The Sicilian cart (in Sicilian carrettu) was a means drawn by horses used to transport goods, used in the Sicilian territory from 1800 until the second half of 1900, when it became obsolete due to the increasing motorization of work in the countryside. Built with different qualities of wood, often adorned with carvings and brightly painted decorations bucolic, nowadays has become the art object of crafts, as well as a symbol of Sicilian folk iconography.

Have a wonderful weekend! :)

Speaking of going through the alphabet ... I remember a thread a few years back where we went out and found letters in nature.  Or architecture.  Or whatever.  Tree branch in the shape of a Y is a good, easy example.  Xs in the superstructure under a metal bridge.  O might be a tire.

That was fun!

Wow! so many wonderful C-photos in so short time.  Fantastic.:-)))

Hello. Am just in for a short time :)

We had Extra Christmas yesterday, because half of the family were in Israel in the real Christmas. So we were only 5 home and we were all adults, if I count my oldest grandson as adult, He is 16½, so I am sure he would appreciate me doing that LOL!  SO I took the chance having No CR-tree this year. YAY... more easy that way. :)  I was happy, as we dont have oceans of space in a vacation house.

BUT then we had to make another Christmes party, when my daughter in law and the two youngest gr kids came back home and that was yesterday. Can you believe it?  They brought another USED half dry CHristmas tree they got from the Neighbors, who were throwing it out. LOL!  MAN, I was stunned, so the kids decorated it and this is the result. I am happy to say, they took it all off again, before they went home LOL! :)  But we do understand the very large HINT.  SO, we might as well have a tree next CHRMS :)

So, I am sorry to bother you with more Christmas stuff LOL!

I am not really back yet, but you had to see this LOL

auntietk posted Sun, 12 January 2014 at 5:23 PM

I've never had anyone show up with a tree!  (And I hope it never happens!  LOL!)  Great shot for the challenge, though.  It's nice to see you, dear friend, and will look forward to your return.  :)

**C** for **Calla Lily** **(Zantedeschia aethiopica) ** *Information taken from the web*

The name derives from the greek Kalos, which means beauty.

In ancient times, the calla was considered a symbol of elegance and nobility.

In the last century it has been the symbol of the Art Deco period.

At one time, give as a gift calla meant having respect and esteem for the person to whom you donated, it was also considered a sign of strong friendship.

Today, give a woman a bouquet of calla lilies, means express appreciation for her beauty.

The callas are widely used as cut flowers in ceremonies as a symbol of purity, innocence, sincerity.

In the language of flowers can also mean modesty.

Congratulations to all for the beautiful images added! :)

A super cow shot Steve.

3DGuy posted Fri, 17 January 2014 at 2:04 AM

It's a puzzling image. The lighting on the cow doesn't match the position of the sun. So did you use an off camera flash or is it a composite?
