I purchased a Lace Set on Renderosity.  I understand that it is supposed to be used as a brush.  I created a brush from the lace image I want to use.  When I stroke the work path, it just 'smears' the paint along (as if dragging the lace through the paint).  I change the spacing on the brush, and now it looks like it stamps the image of the lace along the work path.  It does not rotate the image to follow the path. (the lace does not curve to follow the path. 

I want to paint the lace along a curved line.  How do I get the lace to follow the path in a continuous motion, yet maintain the image of the lace?  I have corresponded with several people that say this is how they add edge lace and trim.  Obviously I do not know how to set the brush up. 

Is there a tutorial out there on how to do this? or can someone explain how this is done?
