I need some help with this product. I picked up the M4 Enhanced-Mina kit from DAZ 3D and have not been able to get it to work since it was installed.....and re-installed....again!.
Tech support does not have a darn clue over there because they do not have a version of Poser7 which according to some there it is supposed to actually work in. They also supposedly can't get a response from the PA and some others that habe tried helping also confirm they have not seen his presence in the forums there.
I have my doubts it is P7 compatible based on what I am seeing it do...but what do I know.
Does anyone here have this product and if so can someone working with it help me figure out what the problem I am having with it might be and help me resolve it?
On a Mac OS 10.6x, Poser 7, M4.x.....reinstalled also three times and the stupid script run also run 3 diferent times to initialize.
en bref:
I call up a complete M4 with ++ morphs injected and working. I inject the primary Enhanced packagemorph and then the Mina injections and nothing appears in the morph dials except the standardM4++ Head size Morph Dial gets renamed as Shoulder and the head either shrinks or gets huge as I continue injecting the add-on morphs.....any of them. No other morphs inject into the body at all!
The next step will be to return it for a refund at DAZ and just forget about it but it seems like a cool kit I hate to just give up. But it is killing me to keep trying to resolve this!

Are you trying to add these morphs to an existing M4 with Morphs++? Have you tried loading a new M4 base after the M4 Enhanced installation and initialization?
Any time you add a new morph pack to your runtime, and after running initialization, you must load a new base model and then add the morphs. Any pre-existing morphed models prior the new package will not accept any additional morph channels.

Are you saying I need to reinstall M4 and run the initializer again every time I add a new set of morphs to my Runtime for M4? There was no request for initialization after installing the M4 Enhanced-Mina set and I have never had to do that with any other add-on morph package for M4. All the Morphs i have, wheteher imple free offerings or more complex purchased offerngs from here or DAZ worked great w/o all that darn initializing? M4.x was initialized when firt installed and worked fine since...until now. But to as I said I did reinitialize and reinstalled M4 Enhanced-Mina to be sure with the same problems ensuing.
Or am I supposed to put a clean base M4 into the scene before injecting the Enhanced morphs set? If it needs the ++ morphs for M4 how do you do so if that is the case?

the Michael 4 in the 'default' Daz People folder in your main runtime will receive the new morph channels.
any other Michael 4 saved in your runtimes or previous saved files won't receive the new morph channels.
i bought it too but haven't installed it yet.

You only need to run the initializer for products that use ExP technology, such as Mina. ExP adds new channels to the figure so that you aren't using the community channels that most products from vendors use. ExP is used in the addons for gen4... A4, Steph4, Hiro4, Freak4, Muscle morphs, creature creator morphs, etc.
You run the initializer, then you bring a NEW M4 into a scene and use that. You can't use a M4 you saved to a library because it won't have the new channels. Once you bring a new M4 into the scene, then you inject the Mina morphs. You can then save this version to your library and use that for future scenes.

So plain old vanilla no morph version of M4 out of the box? How do the ++ morphs get added? After the Mina morphs?
There are no initializers for Mina? Saw the M4 one but nothing there for the mina package?

You use the same file to initialize. Mina doesn't come with it's own.
You can still inject ++ into M4, he's just saying you can't use one of your own presaved CR2. It has to be the default M4.
Load default M4, and inject away whatever morph packs you want.

Thanks all for your patient help. I have given up. My brain stem is fried and this is no longer fun which for me, was the whole point of Poser: spinnng the dials until got a col figure before trying to make something out of what I spend my hard earned money on I can call a picture.

@shante -
If the Michael 4 Mina character morph set is giving you so much trouble, why not try the default Poser figures, or any other figure for Poser ? You don't have to give up Poser itself. I have used more more of the non-DAZ3D figures lately. I don't find them any less useful for my renders, or clothes and hair modelling projects.

@shante: don't give up. Install Mina and run the initializer you got with M4 in the first place. You can load morphs++ when using Mina if you so wish as well. Mina is an excellent addition to M4 - I use it all the time. In fact I'm rendering with it as I type this.

oh, not giving poser up just this packge.
i got poser 9 for $35 bucks or so so i am removing all my poser 7 and migrating to poser nine in a while. hope that goes smoother than trying to convert poor m4 into a recalcitrant mina. :)

tried all the combinations including using a freshly installed default virgin m4 with his shiny new initializer. poopy if i can use an upset kids vernacular!
you know i got the free m4 girl morph set by 3Dream i think and got real good results. a bitch (pardon the pun) to texture and hard to dress likr a Grrrrrl and add extra girlie morphs to like softer face, genital and breast variances but it works otherwise. I wish the creator (and I think it is 3Dream) would do some more stuff for the package to give it more flexibility and usage. I'd even pay for that if he did....long as he keeps the frell away from initializers and such.....keeps it SIMPLE......he/she will have me as a customer.

Don't bother canning P7; it wil happily coexist with Poser 9. Just install P9 in its own directory, and add your P7 runtimes as externals in the P9 library....

When you say complete M4 with morphs, does that mean you are loading an M4 that was already saved with the morphs? If so, that may be the problem.
When you load the basic M4 from the libraries, it should have the M4 Enhanced channels as in my screen shot. This is M4 with the Mina pack inside Poser 7. If not, then your M4 cr2 hasn't been updated by the initialisation bat file. Running the bat file only updates the original M4 cr2 file with the new morph channels, it doesn't update any M4 figures that you may have previously saved yourself. In other words, you can't use the Mina set with a previously saved M4, you would have to load the newly updated M4 and inject all of the morphs necessary and remake your character.
