I'm not a modeller or texture artist so not much use to me, but I figured there'd be a few of you out there who would be interested in this innovative tool.
The non-commercial licence allows you to use it a commercial project if it generates less than $10,000 per year, so could be useful for some Poser projects...

Looks like a very interesting tool
I wonder if it will be possible with this tool to make tileable textures wrap around the mesh without seams. Browsing through their forum and the tutorials.manuals did not make that clear.

I had an email from Allegorithmic announcing the upcoming beta of Substance Painter last week, and it does look very interesting indeed. Thanks for the info on the non-commercial license Snarly, I missed that, and it makes it look a lot more attractive.
Wim - it should be possible to paint across seams as they do state that you can change topology and UV's on the model without losing previous painting - it will be reprojected automatically.
Might have to download the free trial this weekend and give it a go!
