I have Poser 10 on Windows 8.1 . Just now I went on Smith Micro's website to download an update / bug-cure. With previous Poser versions I could merely download the update, but this time it wanted my full personal details, and my house address, and so on, yada yada yada, and sent me to checkout, as if these updates need to be paid for. What is happening? I don't want an upgrade to Poser 11 or whatever, I want merely a routine bug-fix and to stay within the same version of Poser.

I think it comes through their Install Manager now. Not sure, but that is how I got it. Maybe someone else who is more knowledgeable than me could chime in :-). Hope this helps some. Take care and have a wonderful day.

Just purchase the upgrade.

The cost is $0.00 ... download and install and all will be fine.

cheers, etc.

Every time I look at the update in their install manager, it shows as 500Mb+ indicating it wants to download the entire program all over again, versus just a small update.

Might possibly be the content updater showing up if you haven't downloaded it yet.

@ OP, just a minor inconvenience, I have already performed this with PP2014 and other versions, no big deal.

Hello Vas, you are right as it does the same for me. I wonder why it wants us to install the program again? When it does that I just end up dl'ing and installing it anyways...lol.   Hopefully someone can shed some light unto the why :-). Take care and have a wonderful night :-).
