I've been trying to work with a dynamic outfit and I really wanted a wind effect for the scene I had in mind. I added the wind force, made sure my dynamic cloth are colliding against it... and nothing. Am I missing something here?

Maybe not enough wind force dialed in.
You might even need to introduce some turbulence to get it flapping around.

as I'm in the midst of other things, so just a quick 2ct from me.
http://www.book.artbeeweb.nl/?p=636 will launch you into the middle of a series of articles on dynamic clothing and wind. Use the list at the bottom of that page to step forward/ backward in those articles.
Also my case studies, like http://www.book.artbeeweb.nl/?p=760 and surrounding posts, are about cloth and wind.
In one of those posts, I found the note that the Wind Generator was broke in Poser 9 / Pro2012. It might be repaired in the meantime / in Poser 10 / Pro 2014, but I haven't tested it since then.
Fingers crossed...

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.
visit www.aRtBeeWeb.nl (works) or Missing Manuals (tutorials & reviews) - both need an update though

I had a lot of amplitude and had .5 turbelence.
If it's broke in my version I don't have PP14. Nuts.

I have no experience with PP12 but in PP14 I've found that the wind force works perfectly if you use the rotate and translate dials to aim it but if you use "point at" then it has no effect.

The windforce was broken in one of the service releases of P9/PP2012 and was fixed in a leter service release. Just use the latest one.
The most likely cause for the windforce not to work is that either the range, the angle or the amplitude is too low. Make sure that it is all correct at the last frame of the animation

Okay, I ran the update now I can't see my library because poser wants me to install flash. But I've already got the latest version installed.

When you look at the generator prop, the lines projected from the 'fan' end are your field of effect. You have to extend that beyond the object(s) you want affected by that force.

Crap, I can't find my poser DVD to reinstall... this is bad. I can't exactly load stuff without the browser.
