It's one that's a completely unrealistic female form, along the lines of most Warner Brothers females.
I'm looking for proportion within the range of the current Looney Tunes adult females to Minerva the mink. Even a Jessica Rabbit character would be acceptable.
The ideal character would have more curves, smaller waist and large head and "bug"eyes than Aiko or Suzy Q.
The characters I've purchased develop very weird distortions at these extreme body part scaling.
I'm more interested in western cartoon correct proportions than anything else.
Teyon posted Sun, 23 March 2014 at 8:59 PM
Have you tried morphing Minnie or Ginger to suit the proportions you're looking for? (assuming you have Poser 10/ Poser Pro 2014)

This what you're looking for ?

Thanks for the suggesion. I tried "the girl 4" from Daz3d, but her arms struck me as odd, almost monkey like.
The head needs to be about twice as large, which creates strange results, and legs about 50% thinner.
I'll look again at the model though.
Teyon when I try morphing various character I get monsters, for lack of a better description.
I may buy Daz Studio, and try Nata

Pretty sure that Smay's original version of Nata (a non-genesis Poser stand-alone figure) is still available for download in the the free section of Smay3D.com...

Wow Kalypso!
Your pictures scared me somehow (in a positive way), if a toon jumped out from the telly to our reality, this is how it would appear, great work.
And its based on V4? Nice....

Yes, Kalypso, I love the uncanny valley and you took us right there. Awesome.

I grabbed Smay's Nata, then revised the shaders. The skin needed some subtle color variation, which I made with a Clouds node. (You almost can't tell it's there, unless I take it away, then you know something's wrong.) I made a procedural bump for skin and lips from Turbulence, and a procedural specularity map, also with Turbulence. Eye shaders are simple but important. Use scatter and Fresnel reflection for realism!!
I didn't like the Nata hair, so I used Poser 6 Jessi_Short_Blonde, which I had to scale and use a magnet on it to make it fit. I changed the hair shader, too because Nata didn't look right as a blonde, IMO.
Lighting is the HDRI Doge 2 HDRI at 3X amplification that I use so much and one infinite light.

very nice Kalypso.
So you only used these products?
V4
Poser 2012
Perfect V4
Cheers

agree, those by kalypso look alot less creepy than "girl". I like that one by teyon, in case it's available (freebie).
Teyon posted Mon, 24 March 2014 at 2:08 PM
Thanks, it's part of Poser 10/ Pro 2014 so if you have that you have her. Granted, the shoulders and eyes could be a bit better but I think it turned out ok for the time constraints I was under. If nothing else, kingdragonfly may want to use the hair.
Kalypso posted Mon, 24 March 2014 at 2:32 PM Site Admin
Hey thanks all, I had fun making her and will probably be off on a toon tangent these days :)
@kingdragonfly I used V4, Morphs++ and Aiko 4 (just for the head and eyes) But I also scaled down chest, abdomen, hip and thighs on the y axis and to make her taller I can use the Long legs morph. I should have scaled the arms a bit too.
@BB That's an amazing skin shader. I just used a ready-made texture with SSS but now I'm tempted to play around more with the shaders to get a doll-like lustre. Please make these available for EZMat :)
Miss Nancy posted Mon, 24 March 2014 at 3:16 PM
yes, teyon, I got that one "ginger" in Users/Shared/Poser Pro 2014 Content/Runtime/Libraries/Character/Cartoon/Cartoons. they should hire ye at pixar (disney).
p.s. bagginsbill: are those eye shaders with VSS prop? yer render looks great!
Miss Nancy posted Mon, 24 March 2014 at 5:22 PM
correction - no scatter found in VSS ca. 2009. one would use skin shader as on miki4 eyeball, where scatter, fresnel et al. used. cannot post it, due to copyright restrictions.

Would love to see the shader set up, especially the eyes! And your light set up, please.

I used browns on the stage to make the reflected light warm and subdued and as a background I wanted contrast with the figure. You can see the ground reflected color under her chin.
The environment sphere has the Doge 2 HDR on it with with its value at 3 times the image brightness.

I did not arrive at these numbers through genius, nor endless trial and error. I used the light meter by itself on the stage, then added the figure.
Workflow matters.

First the color map goes into a pink clouds node to modulate the skin in a more realistic way. Then I used an HSV to darken it to 80%.
The scatter scale I adjusted to 1.6 because that looked pleasing to me - no other logic to it.
The turbulence on the lower right is doing the specular value modulation, and the turbulence on the lower left is doing the bump map. I adjusted the scales and intensities on these to produce a fine skin texture.

* the Turbulence for bump - it has a large Y scale so it makes vertical wrinkles.

This is a basic Fresnel transparency + reflection shader, but I tweaked it to be more intense in an unrealistic way. The IOR is too high, and I jammed an extra .03 into the Fresnel_Blend Inner_Color. That parameter is usually set to 0 or black.
