When I apply the texture to this character just above the eyes it doesnt apply, looks like a sleeping mask shape that has no texture. Doesnt happen when using another characters texture.

Is this visible only in the preview, or in the actual render?
V4 has an eyebrow geometry, which most vendors do not use. If you are seeing something of it in the actual render, go into the Material room and in the Advanced tab for the eyebrow, set the transparency to 100% and see if that helps...

at the risk of sounding obvious, did you try clicking icon that says "no hair"?

Could you post a screen cap? It could be gamma correction problems, but won't know for sure without an image of the problem.

used the no hair texture and added a cheek and that seems to have worked
Thanks
