I have started a new thread for week 3 of the Diti.  I would appear to be better to do so for each time we add a new picture to manipulate, so the thread will not get too big and people lose interest.

Anyway, here is my shot for you all to play with.

Have fun! ☺

A really spectacular shot Clive.

Adobe_One_Kenobi posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 8:32 AM

Great image clive, did an OOB with it.  Also fixed the white strobing line from the number on the car

jayfar posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 9:11 AM

Fantastic work Ronnie.

Adobe_One_Kenobi posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 9:13 AM

Thanks Jeff :)

cfulton posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 11:31 AM

Well done, Ronnie, that line is a rather frustrating PA system cable that features in all 9 shots that I have of the incident.

I was keen to see how it would be dealt with!

cfulton posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 11:36 AM

I was not as good at trying to remove the cable...

2 layers, background to B&W, car selected out of the top colour layer.  Various toning - I lost track! (just like the driver!)

What we cannot see here is the second Golf that pushed him off, shrouded in the dust.

mbz2662 posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 11:56 AM

Nice!

I am away from home, with limited internet time, so I probably won't be able to participate for now.  Plus, I have to do stuff... :P

I am going to go upload a photo to my gallery, as it is ready to go.

HAVE FUN! and see you later <3

Adobe_One_Kenobi posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 12:51 PM

Clive nice bit of colour popping/selective colour.  Thanks for the info that it was a cable and not blur that I thought it was.  I hate wires and signs in photographs, but there is little we can do eh?

Melinda, please don't worry, nothing is mandatory.  I am sure Clive can juggle a few figures :)

kokabeel posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 2:28 PM

Love these!

The out of bounds photo is nifty. I've been wanting to try that sometime to see how it would turn out on a few photos of mine.

Like the selectiv coloring on the car! Really draws your eyes to it, and makes you wonder what's going on.

Here's a quick edit I did. I wanted to give it a tiltshift sort of feel.

kokabeel posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 4:32 PM

Took out the line I did not see lol

Adobe_One_Kenobi posted Thu, 15 May 2014 at 4:42 PM

Kokabeel.  Great work here.  If you need a simple method

WOW! Really fantastic things, I see here. Especially your work, Ronnie. The framing and the out of frame work is brilliant.

Thank you for a new photo, Clive.

helanker posted Fri, 16 May 2014 at 2:48 AM

I also wanted to try to remove the white line here.

Hi guys!

I love what you all did with this stunning photo, and had a great laugh
seeing Charles running for his life, I hope he made it!
I'll watching the news today, so I'll be up to date.

Well, I did enjoy myself totally, and made the accident very extreme. :scared:

It took me a couple of hours, so I hope you like it, sneaky:
and also hope, you all are still okay

aksirp posted Sat, 17 May 2014 at 5:13 AM

That's a good tweak Mies.  Personaly I'd run him over LOL

dochtersions posted Sat, 17 May 2014 at 11:40 AM

Hi Prisca, your cars are coming out great this way.

And I thank you both, Prisca and Ronnie.

btw, Ronnie, you really are a profesional with manipulations.
I have no knowledge of anything at all, hence I admire your amazing result.

Adobe_One_Kenobi posted Sat, 17 May 2014 at 12:49 PM

Thank you for your kind words Mies.  Did you catch the link for out of bounds?  It is a tutorial I put together a while back, a very simple method.  I have been following the development of Photoshop since version 2 so I have many years at it.  But again your words are received gratefully and with thanks and humble honour.

Niceeeeeee!!!!!!

bmac62 posted Sat, 17 May 2014 at 2:58 PM

Moved the Golf with the checkered hood down into the dust, blurred the checkered hood on the car on the track and darkened his sun visor...then realized in Clive's earlier post that he said, "What you can't see is the Golf that pushed him off shrouded in the dust..." So, quite by accident, you are now seeing the offending race car in the dust...:-)

Thanks for your tip, Ronnie. Unfortunately I have not found this tutorial, and I have no photoshop on my computer. Only a very old version of PSP 8.
Cheers, Mies :)

Adobe_One_Kenobi posted Sat, 17 May 2014 at 3:39 PM

Ahhh! Ok Mies.  Sorry for that :(

Here is my last for the week ... what I might see without my glasses or contact lenses!

cfulton posted Wed, 21 May 2014 at 6:15 AM

This thread is fun.

As Ronnie suggested it is Melinda's turn to give us a photo to 'Do it to it' tomorrow.

Just send me an un-edited photo (other than Crop & size):

I will then start a new sticky thread for tomorrow.

Thanks,

Clive
