Subject: Right click freezes Library window

I recently noticed that when I right click inside the Library window the Library windows freezes. I can move the window around, and close and reopen it but nothing inside the window is accessable. Sometimes it unhangs after 20 or 30 seconds but sometimes I have to close Poser and reopen.

I've submitted an incident report to SM, but does anyone else have this problem?

Haven't seen anything unusual in PP2014 32-bit; are you current with all the SRs?  And has anything changed or updated recently?

I recently upgraded from Windows Vista to 8.1, which required me to install some Poser 9 upgrades, but everything should be current.

Same freezing here. PPro2014 64bit / W7 64bit

Alt-Tab to another program and switching back solves the freeze sometimes

Are you using the internal or external library? Try switching to the other in the preferences.

Hmmm... Yep, it looks like just going to another app will unfreeze it.

Vaskania, what internal and external libraries are you talking about? Do you mean the Poser default library?

Yes. Poser's library can run on two modes.. internal (flash based.. or IE.. I forget) and external (adobe air based). Sometimes if you have issues with one, switching to the other may help.

Edit > General Preferences > Library tab.

Just note that external mode can't be docked and is used as a second window.

Adobe Flash does not work well in 64-bit, use Adobe Air instead for the Library.

I am running Poser 9 in Windows 8.1 32-bit. The two modes aren't an option for me.

Take a read through this thread: http://forum.runtimedna.com/showthread.php?85917-External-Library-for-Poser-Pro-2012

The user was also experiencing issues with Windows 8 and the Poser library.

Oops!  Entirely missed that point.

Since you have Poer Pro, have you tried the suggestions about using the external (Air) library?
