I am new to this forum, having just bought Vue 2014 Complete, in fact the extras are still downloading (at least five hours left on that download).
My main application is Poser Pro 2014, but I want to render some scenes in Vue for a book I am illustrating because the Firefly renderer doesn't finish rendering. I have been attracted by reports of speedy high quality renders.
I am not sure whether I should tell Vue to use the Poser shader tree or not. I tried it, rendered, and my render was completely black. Perhaps that is not the way to go.
I made Bagginsbill's envirosphere invisible so that I can create a Vue atmosphere for the outdoor scenes. That seems to work OK.
My main problem is that I have a little girl in the scene, she is wearing a dress (Poser dynamic). When I import the scene, the dress is not visible, though she is still wearing her panties. The dress object is imported, but it does not show up, even when I change the material and apply the texture in Vue.
I did not expect the Poser procedural materials to show up, but I applied some Vue materials to certain items (sand for the flowerbeds, concrete etc.) When I render these objects are completely white.
Also I don't know how to change the gamma correction settings in Vue to a different value. Vue wants to set them to 1.8, but Poser uses 2.2. How do I do this?
Sorry for the noob questions, but I really need some help.
