I think my skill set with modeling is finally where I want it to be, so I am in the process of creating an online comic again. I took a long hard look at all the ideas I had previously, and decided I wanted to tell my Star Wars story; mostly because it was the most fleshed out. I am about 75% finished with the pilot script, and I started developing the characters.

I am going with Sydney again as my main character, and I am using her name as the name of the character. I downloaded MarianneR's face morphs for Kate 2, so I can finally use her for a couple of the younger characters.

So, here is young Sydney as a 10 year old. Her mother brought her to an orphanage on the planet Calcara, where the staff found her dead on the front steps, the baby in swaddling clothes in her arms.

Here is older Sydney. She was compelled to leave the orphanage in the middle of the night as a preteen, and this is where she returns to it years later. It was attacked and destroyed the night she left.

Sydney after she begins her training in the force.

She gets attacked and nearly killed. The doctors put a cybernetic armor on her left side to save her life.

Sydney's only friend at the orphanage. She is chosen to attend the military academy just before the attack.

Her friend as an adult. She will play a major role that is yet to be determined.

Here is a costume I am still trying to decide on how to use. It's fully rigged, but there are a couple issues I have to fix.

See the foot sticking out at the bottom of her right boot? And also the right shoulder armor poking into the chest. I have to adjust the joint zones a bit to make it work.

The male jedi who finds Sydney on Calcara and takes her to Rigel. There is a robe made for this outfit, but I am still trying to get it to drape properly. I am going to have to remodel it.

One final character. This started out as something else, but this is how it ended up. I don't know what I am going to do with him yet. Probably a bounty hunter.

I am modeling my own lightsabers for this. For the promo images I used Bionic Rooster's Mace Windu saber, and one modeled after Luke's ROTJ saber. I forgot where I got that one from, but it's made for M/V/S/H 4...

The temple is Joe's Fantasy Temple, the destroyed orphanage is Dry Jack's ruined cottage. The bounty hunter is standing in a prop labelled Historic Street. Once again, my old brain can't remember where that one came from either.

I am also going to model a few fighters. Not too many. I am basing this one the Star Wars timeline during the old Republic, but it takes place well away from most of the familiar landmarks, so things will look a lot different (like the Jedi uniforms...).

I have modeled a Jedi uniform that looks like the traditional, but I have to rig it because it is several layers and they don't play nice in the cloth room.

More to come as it gets finished...

Like the armors.  The lightsaber effect on the blade is spot on.

Thank you! Armors seem to be my niche. The lightsaber effect was created in GIMP. As for the rest of the clothes, I am still working on UV mapping them to improve the textures.

I am not going to do this in toon renders.

I am looking forward to seeing more of this. I really like your choice of figures.

Thanks.

My choices are based on the fact that I only have the Poser natives, plus Miki 4 and Tyler to chose from. I have Dawn, but I am using Poser 9, and she is about 6'6" tall if you compare her to the other Poser females. If I use her, it will be in a small way.

I am still working on an Old Republic Jedi uniform, as they will come into the story at some point. The costume is being fitted to Simon G2, and I am working on a costume for a character known as "The Old One", a 2,000+ year old Jedi who is so old he is immobile, and communicates telepathically.

Thanks for looking. I downloaded some of your face morphs for the G2 guys, and you can bet I am going to use them.

Here is a screen grab of the robe for the Jedi. As I stated, it won't drape right, so I am going to remodel it. It's hard to do Jedi uniforms because of so many layers, but I am trying.

Wow.  Good job, Rokket, I tried the comic thing but too much work.  Never even got an issue done, sadly.

I have the first two episodes already written out in synopsis form. I am writing the script for the pilot as we speak.

And I figured out during the writing of episode 2 where I can use Dawn AND the cyborg outift I modeled for her. But she won't show up until episode 3, and then you won't see her again. At least not until I have to use her for another really tall alien female. I do have some face morphs for her...

Doing an inventory of what I do have, I can still use Alyson, Alyson 2 and both of their many ethnic clones, Don, Judy, James, Kate, Ben... and I already have an Old Republic Jedi uniform made for Simon G2. And I have Jessie and Jessie G2, James G2 and Miki 4. I believe I have enough to tell this story. There are others I am missing I am sure; I'm not on my own computer right now.

Anyone know where I can find a crowd scene where I can change the textures to match my costumes?

I think of stories for other things than online comics alot.  I actually have a really cool idea for a pilot episode of a TV Series I came up with.  You're actually inspring me to get that written.   Thanks for the encouragement.

Sure. I know a few people who have ideas all the time but don't act on them. They end up lamenting when someone else put their ideas onscreen because they didn't have the nerve.

Sydney's lightsaber. I am putting the finishing touches on the Old Republic Jedi to be played by Simon G2...

I decided to scrap this project one last time. I am reworking everything to change the story to an 'other than Star Wars' theme due to several problems I encountered while doing research. My time line is the main one. My bad guys are another. Too much work to get a decent comic.

But I can still use my ideas without Jedi and the Force, so that's what I am doing. I will post renders when I get something ready. This means I will be reworking the costumes, so I am working on those a little bit at a time as I rewrite the story.

Besides, looking around, there are literally thousands of Star Wars fan art comics out there. I don't want to get lost in the shuffle, no matter how good or original I believe my story to be (which upon further research, really isn't that original).

Thanks for looking.
