Bonjour
I am using the last version of DAZStudio pro
My antivirus (Bitdefender) said sometime that the file called cppdl.exe inside D:DazStudiobin folder is potentially infected
In the past ,when i see this ,i deleted the file and recopy again cppdl.exe from an backup i have in a external HD for backup
Yesterday ,i have again the alert but this time i can recopy the file because Windows 8 say i need administrtor right (i though i have this right from my user account)
So what about this cppdl.exe ? Is it a false alert? Whitout it DazStudio is still loading and effective?
What can i do to copy it from my backup ?
Thanks
Martial

That's the C PreProcessor used by 3Delight. It's used when you run scripts or shaders.
There are regular questions about this every few months and I remember BitDefender being the cause everytime!
Scan it with something else like MalwareBytes just to be sure, then you can safely ignore the message.

Bitdefender is giving you a false positive, it's well known for doing that; with a lot of different apps and games.
The fastest way to cure this is to uninstall bitdefender and install avast

Why? I'm on quite few game and CG forums, bitdefender has a very bad reputation for false positives. I was trying to save you some trouble.
