Hello;
I know that this is not the right forum to ask this...but honestly i have tried C4D forums else where...including here...to no avail...i get no responses...so i thaught that i would give it a try here...my apologies if this annoys some people...but i really need an answer to this!...
Needles to say...i am new to C4D1...so please be patient!...
I recently purchased a plugin for C4D called Light Kit Pro.
https://store.greyscalegorilla.com/products/light-kit-pro
The plugin has different preset Light rigs which can be loaded in C4D ready to render...and the only thing left for the user to do is insert his own content like props or models. So i tried to load a free prop into one of the preset rigs...but i get a pop up saying that the proyect already exists and if i want to load it witht he same name...this is the part that i dont get...in Poser i could easily load a prop or model into any existing scene.
Well..it is obvious that i am new to C4D!...i know that this is basic stuff...but i just cant get to load a prop into the preset light rigs in C4D!...it is not that the prop does not load...it does load...only into a complete new scene!...not into the preset light rig that i want it to load!...and that is what has me baffled!...there is either something that i am doing wrong...or not doing at all!...
Any help would be appreciated!...
Again...sorry for placing this thread where it does not belong. Wont happen again.

I would love to be able to help you but I don't have C4D. Have you tried contacting the creator of the kit you bought for assistance?

Hi there when you use the "open" command to import an object into C4D from any external location other than the content browser,
C4D will always create a new scene for that object.
Use the "merge" command instead to add the object to your current scene where you have your light kit rig all set up to render
