Each time I open Poser on the laptop (64bit Win7), it gives me some error codes (listed below). I'm thinking it's something that has to do with Win7 & it's stupid thing with "Documents" and "program" folders, I can't instal DS4.5, I don't have this rediculous "administrative permission" (can't remember exactly what it's called). Here's what it says.
An errror occurred importing addon dson :
ERROR: 'module' object has no attribute 'RegisterAddon'
An errror occurred importing addon PythonShell :
ERROR: 'module' object has no attribute 'RegisterAddon'
An errror occurred importing addon dson :
ERROR: 'module' object has no attribute 'RegisterAddon'
An errror occurred importing addon PythonShell :
ERROR: 'module' object has no attribute 'RegisterAddon'
Can anyone identify this issue?
Also Daz Studio 4.5 will not start up, it says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click ok to close the program"
I installed both Poser and DS the same way I installed them on my main 32 bit WinXP computer, they both work fine on the main.
Thanks for any help I can get!

You should have been prompted to create an Administrator Account when you first booted your computer. Windows 7 security is stricter than previous versions and you will need to be logged in as administrator to make any major changes to the computer such as installing software.

You also didn't state which version of Poser you're using.
I run PP2012 and PP2014 on Win7 64bit and have no problems with it loading properly. I also run DS 4.6 with no problems (aside from user error).

Your Python scripts are trying to register themselves as addons and can't. The error indicates the facility for doing this is missing. The usual reason this is missing is you're running old software, but other possibilities include you have a corrupted installation.
When you have problems with Poser, report what version you have.
Since you didn't, I have to guess and suggest you didn't install the right version.
Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

Oops, sorry guys, I didn't include what version Poser I'm using. It's Poser9, which is 32 bit.
Hmm, creating administrator account, I'm wondering if I can do that, uninstall Poser & DS first, create the account, then re-install them, think that will work?
Also something, a little off the subject, came to mind. I'm wondering why DS4.5 64bit installed in the "Program Files (x32)" folder. I did unistall it and re-installed it and see no option to put it in the regular program folder... strange.

You still haven't included what version you're using. Poser 9 has many service released.
Which are you using?
I suspect you may answer from memory, which will once again miss the point.
Start poser. On the menu Help / About you bring up the splash screen. On the lower left it says the exact version you have installed, which may well be different than what you think is there.
My Poser Pro 2014 says 10.0.3.26510. You want a number like that.
Do this both for your computer that's working fine, and the one with trouble.

9.0.0.16510... OMG I forgot to upgrade to service release 3... just now did that and it worked! Thanks a lot, Bill :D :D
Still don't know what's up with DS4.5 though, Oh well, I hardly use it anyways, I'm not such a DS fan anymore cause the SSS just does not look all that great (I'm SSS addict now lol). Also I love Poser's IDL light, the "IDL" wannabee light in Poser uhh... as far as I remember... takes WAY WAY TOO LONG to render. I'm pretty much hard core Poser now that it supports V4's different sizes.
I'm gonna find and install the latest release anyways though, see what happens...

Correction... the "IDL" wannabee light in Daz Studio (not Poser) uhh... as far as I remember... takes WAY WAY TOO LONG to render.

Yay! I hoped it was that simple.
