Please, AmbientShade! Leave this in the Poser forum long enough so it might get read! If I bribe you $50, will you leave it? Pleeeeeeeeasse?
For work purposes I've been loaned an Ipad thing so I can adapt my courseware to the Ipad screen size. I wouldn't touch the awful creature otherwise, and will be very happy to return it when I'm done.
This little monster won't connect to normal things in normal ways. It insists on having a "wifi" connection.
After much Googling, I've figured out how to set up an "ad-hoc wifi network" from my laptop. This connection appears to be working. When the ipad is in range and turned on, the laptop says the network is "connected".
But I don't know how to interpret the ipad's response. At one point it seemed to recognize the network but said the network wasn't tied to the Web. So I connected the laptop to my usual Comcast modem and got the web running.
Then I tried the ipad again. This time it doesn't say anything. After I type the name of the ad-hoc network and hit Join, it just sits there.
What next?
Help! I feel like an ancient Viking or a New Guinea warrior.
