No I am not talking about Genesis characters working like V4 in poser

The last time this happened was the year 1191

The next time it will happen is the year 2837

And no we are not talking about the release of PoserPro 2838 either...

August 2014 will count

5 Fridays (1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th)

5 Saturdays (2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th)

5 Sundays (3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and 31st)

This phenomenon occurs only once every 823 years.

You will never ever see this again in your lifetime...well except for possibly the Good Dr. Geep!

This a hoax. It happens quite often - many times in a lifetime.

http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/trivia/fivedays.asp

Quote - Thus we see patterns of Sunday-beginning Augusts in clusters of years like the following:

We're approaching the end of a cycle and thus the longest gap between occurrences, but that gap is a mere eleven years, not eight centuries.

Whenever August begins on Friday, then there are 5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays.

Whenver August begins on Monday, then there are 5 Mondays, 5 Tuesdays, and 5 Wednesdays.

The pattern of repetition for any given day of the week is gaps of 6, 5, 6, and 11 years. The complete cycle for any given day of the week is thus 28 years, so each group of three days occurring 5 times in August happens on average once every 7 years. (one day in seven) Go figure.

Note the same happens on any other month with 31 days.

Renderosity forum reply notifications are wonky. If I read a follow-up in a thread, but I don't myself reply, then notifications no longer happen AT ALL on that thread. So if I seem to be ignoring a question, that's why. (Updated September 23, 2019)

I guess I need to fire the employee that sucked me into this....grrrrrrr 👎

Here I thought we could convince the powers to be to celebrate with a 5 x 5 x 5 discount or 5x5=25 times 5=125% off everything in the market place for the month of August...in other words drive the sales here thru the roof by getting a 125% rebate at the end of the month on everything you buy this August.

If only someone could readily access a calendar on their computing device that would allow for looking at monthly calendars over a wide range of years. If it were me, I'd probably place it on the lower right-hand corner of the screen on a Windows system. Possibly include one on my mobile phone as well.

And if you'd like to try out said hypothetical device, you should click it to May 2015 or January 2016.

5 Fridays, 5 Saturdays, and 5 Sundays twice in less than 800 years from now.

Or I might go backwards in time and see it happened in March 2013.
