I recently purchased the Lost Treasure model from the prime marketplace and need help adjusting the textures so that they work correctly in DS4.6.
Currently, when the model is loaded the coins and/or jewels textures are over-sized and stretched over the model making them unusable. see attached jpg.
I've been trying to adjust the textures using LIE but haven't had any luck. I'm not opposed to messing with the textures in photoshop but i'm not entirely certain that that is within my end user rights.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

The easiest way would be to adjust the tiling settings in the surface tab. Try adjusting to 5x5.

Thanks for the suggestion. Now I know what those settings are for!
I had the same results when I experimented in photoshop.
The jewels look much better.
While not ideal, the general appearance is improved for the coin piles. They will have to post worked but overall look fine. see attached.
Thanks

Creat a grey scale image of the coins tile and plug it into the bump, displacement maps and it will look even better.

Hi SickenlySweete,
It actually did come with bump maps. But while we are on the subject, could you explain or point me to a link that demonstrates how to make greyscale images for bump/displacement?
Thanks all

In most paint programs there is an option to make a colored picture greyscale or black and white,
Then you can if wanted or needed adjust the contrast for sharper edges between the black and white as well.
