Hi all im new to view have some tutorials but have questions trying to get answered but cant seem to find any active forums or google hangouts does any one know of any active?

What I am trying to figure out how to do is I want a kind of rocky mountain area with a sheer wall, with like a small canyon at end of the sheer wall so I can put a castle then have a river blocking the entry to the canyon so I can do a cool stone bridge.

I cant seem to get close to the look im wanting let alone try to put in a river too.

also i an wandering if you can create multiple terrains in vue and the program stitch them together into 1 terrain. I am wanting to bring this into 3ds max when done so I can do the castle and add some characters for animation

So I take it from the silnce that there is no way to stitch several terrains together?

Which version of Vue are you using?  I don't think you can merge terrains in Vue but it's generally not needed in there - you could merge them in MAX if you have the ram - there may be a lot of polys in an exported terrain

another easy way, try flipping your terrain vertically for a shear wall..Jan

If you need it for 3D Max, then isn't it simpler to just use mudbox ?
