Hi
I'm a animaion and video fan, but getting the movements to look natural is really hard.
I'm wondering if anyone here has any experience using Kinect with Poser Pro 2014 Game Developer?
I'm really interested in trying this if it really works.
I'd be interested in comments from anyone who has tried it.
Mike
If you shoot a mime, do you need a silencer?

I have been experimenting with it. Sunday, I tried to get mocap of a rollerskating carhop, but although the green stick-figure bones looked good, the Poser doll wadded up into a glob. I've filed a report with SmithMicro and I'm currently trying to figure out if I'm doing something wrong.

Someone else said that they had more success when they used Andy, exported the movement as a bvh file then imported that file onto another figure.

Hi
Thanks for the input, I hope they get this so it will really work, but I don't want to make the investment until I can see some results.
Keeping my fingers crossed.

I'll continue experimenting with it, Mike; as with you, the ability to do mocap is a big plus to me.
Thanks for that tip, Darren.

Hi the people,
will the kinect sensor of the Xbox will work in PP2014 gAME dEV?
oR JUST KINECT FOR WINDOWS?

You can use the Xbox sensor, but you need to get an adapter for it. The adapter provides power and adapts the orange Kinect plug to a USB. It's about $13 US.

Oh, another thing you need to do if using an Xbox sensor: download and install the Kinect SDK 1.8 (it's free).
