Hi: I bought a new laptop it is an i7 with 12 gigs of RAM and an Intel 4600 graphics card. I installed Poser Pro 2014 and the latest SR-4 update. Poser opens, and I immediately get a Windows error code saying Poser has to close. I have Windows 8.1 on the laptop. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks, Sherrie

And you might need to install the Service Update too.

When I bought my 8.1 laptop I had to install the service update before it would work for me.

you shouldn't have to install the updates on a new copy of Poser.

If they sell you a software product there is a concept in the law known as implied intent of merchantability. Meaning it should work when you buy it.   I bought Poser Pro 2014 and could not get  pass the password.  I pulled my hair out for a week with multiple emails to Smithmicro  and finally sent it back. I then had to dispute my credit card charge for 2 months to get my money back. To rub salt in a wound members of this forum acted as it was my fault that the software didn't work. I never recieved an apology from Smithmicro or from this forum. Its a shame because i have wanted a 64 bit version for 2 years and this was a Christmas present to myself as i a am alone. Thanks alot Smithmicro!
