Can Generation 2 ( V5/V6 ) clothing and character texture maps be used on V4?
Thanks.

Victoria 5 is Genesis 1 and V6 is Genesis 2.
V4 can't use their textures and etc (unless there is a recent script I haven't heard about).
However, if you use Daz Studio you can use V4 clothing, hair, props and textures on Genesis 1 and Genesis 2. Unfortunately those scrips and settings only work in Daz and not in Poser yet.

There is a tool in DAZ studio that can convert textures between any DAZ character called Map Transfer. It will convert between any UV that exists for a Genesis characater. So if a genesis character has the V4 and V5/V6 UV, you can use the tool to convert the texture maps.
This is pretty much the only way you can convert those textures.

Agreed. Everything else can convert from V4 to G2F. At this point, I would take the time to convert textures and clothing to G2F and use DAZ to create the necessary V4 morphs and .duf files to use in Poser.

I use this script to get copies of V4/M4mats for use with Genesis2 figures. This allows me to use Poser native mats, bypassing using Daz Studio to convert mats to DSON, and retaining any Poser-specific material nodes. Note though, that the Victoria 4 for Genesis 2 Female product from Daz is required for the uv.

Daz Script and Poser Python versions included.
The way it works, is it creates duplicates of the pz2/mc6 files and renames the material zones in the copy to match G2Fs. It will work in bulk and do an entire folder at once.
You do need to manually apply the torso to the ears, however, as Gen4 didn't have a separate ear zone.

Genesis is Generation 5, Genesis 2 Female and Genesis 2 Male are Generation 6.

The Genesis base by default uses the V4 UV map. The Genesis 2 Female base uses the V5 UV map by default. The Genesis 2 Male base uses the M5 UV map by default. Like the V5 morph for Genesis, the V6 morph also has a unique UV map.
