I am not certain what the problem is here, but for the past few weeks every time I try to render an image it gets to the end of the render cycle and then crashes and closes. I updated and the problem still persists. Does anyone else have this problem and/or know the cure for it?
Thanks.

what does your log file say?
does DS offer to send a crash report?

What platform and OS? How much RAM?
I saw lots of crashes during render when I was using the 32bit version on a 32bit OS with 2GB RAM.
Does it crash on every render? or just big renders?
I have been doing lots of renders with no problems with the most recent update. I'm using the 64bit version on Win7 Prof 64bit.
If you have been rendering with no problems for some time, and then DAZ started crashing all the time, I would check if there is some hardware issue. Rendering in DAZ stresses your computer more than most applications.
On a PC check the system logs for errors. If you have any hardware diagnostics, try them.

Since my big comp went down, i am using 4.6 on win 7 old quad core with 2gb mem and get not responding but leave it and used get crashes.
If you using nvida card you need go into nvida settings for program, I messed about with settings and get no crashes.
Radion card I found is superior to nvida for gaming as you don't have to mess about with settings unlike nvida.
So got into settings and see if help's you.

Thanks. I know nothing about the video card, and wouldn't know it if I found it laying on my desk, sadly. I'm using a stock, off the shelf, eMachine with Windows7, 4gb RAM, plenty of space on the hard drive.
I did go and change the render type and it doesn't crash as long as the scene is simple. Rather defeats the purpose at that point.
Ah, well...guess I'll wait for the next version and see if it fixes anything.
Again, my thanks.
