I called this fly pic 'A hairy bum' and I hope it doesn't offend anyone but I like how the legs converge.

jayfar posted Wed, 01 October 2014 at 11:34 AM

Here you see some of the rigging on HMS Trincomalee in Hartlepool Maritime Museum.

This should start the baoo rolling Clive.

cfulton posted Wed, 01 October 2014 at 11:41 AM

Well done Jeff!

Perfect, I like your choice of the fly pic, so many converging lines to see in nature too!

Terrific topic!  I'll see what I can come up with.  :)

cfulton posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 1:36 AM

Thanks for the image, Alida.  Those are more parrallel lines than converging lines, lines that join at a point.

Great idea for another challenge though!

helanker posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 5:03 AM

Wow it goes fast in here :-) Excellent examples on this interesting subject.

Here is something from our Rhine tour in August :-)

jayfar posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 10:13 AM

All above are super shots. Well done Clive, an excellent challenge.

cfulton posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 2:21 PM

Here is my first, I visited my Mom today and this moth was under her outdoor table - perfect!

cfulton posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 2:23 PM

Then I looked at the table and saw all of the coverging lines to the hole in the centre...

snap!

jayfar posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 2:24 PM

What a beauty Clive, I hope Mom was ok.

Your second is great too.

cfulton posted Thu, 02 October 2014 at 2:27 PM

Thanks for asking Jeff, she is well - other than her PC which is recovering after a recent hard drive failure.  Dr Clive had to pay a visit.

jayfar posted Mon, 06 October 2014 at 7:34 AM

Two great shots Clive and the diverging bit is down to how you see it and it looks ok to me.

Meisiekind posted Mon, 06 October 2014 at 12:20 PM

Awesome subject! Let's hope my work give me some time later in the month to play along!

auntietk posted Sun, 12 October 2014 at 9:05 PM

We stopped at a museum in Deer Lodge, Montana today, and I thought about you all and this challenge many times!  For reasons best known to those who came up with the idea, the old Montana State Prison museum also houses a classic car collection.  Go figure, huh?  This is from one of the "early transportation" exhibits in the car museum.

jayfar posted Mon, 13 October 2014 at 1:23 PM

This is the font in North Curry Church plus a bonus with the wheel.

This church is known as "The Cathedral of the Moors" and is situated on the Somerset Levels where all the disastrous flooding occurred during last Winter. Fortunately this lovely old church was built on raised ground and escaped the water.

helanker posted Mon, 13 October 2014 at 5:23 PM

Awesome, Tara. Love all the tools :-)

Very beautiful, Jeff. And I like the bonus wheel :-)
