Hello, I've had some limited success using talk designer for poser 7, even thought it has never accepted the optional text. When I make the animation, the movement of my figure's lips seem to generally follow the words in the .wav file I've loaded, but there is a very annoying tendency to display a lot of random, rapid movements between syllables, as if her teeth are chattering from hypothermia. That's the best way I can describe it. Is anybody familiar with this problem and a possible solution? Buying any new software or hardware is presently out of the question. I'm running poser 7 on windows xp.

One idea I had was to click thourgh the animation pallette and detete every second keyframe of her face in the hope the overall movement will be preserved while smoothing out that damned chattering. Does that sound like a promising idea, or just a time-consuming exercise in futuility?

I've got a couple of VERY OLD scripts that handle similar tasks automatically.  Since you're using P7, I'm sure they'll work.

Try the Smoother first.  It goes through the timeline and eliminates 'outliers', which seems to be what you've got there.

Thanks, Ockham. I ran both but there's no discernable difference afterwards. For a few seconds where the figure is not speaking it's particularly evident, so I'll probably try and remove those keyframes for her mouth manually, if I can figure out how to do that without throwing everything else out of balance.
