Subject: M4 Genitals Being Cut Off...ok, maybe it isn't quite so dramatic

So I have the m4 figure and the morph++ pack. I have been working on building a life like character with him through making new textures and I think I am doing ok. But I notice that the genitals when loaded do not look like they belong on the figure. They seem to float against him as thought he needs a belt to make it "strap on".

If I load it without any texture changes to the figures or any morphs it seems somewhat ok. But any change removes it from his body. Any suggestions for fixing this problem?

Sounds like they aren't conformed to M4.

Conform to him like you would a piece of clothing and they should follow as normal.

Ditto.

Is this in the preview only or have you tried rendering? There is a transmap applied which might confuse the preview, though the current versions of Poser are pretty good. If, on the other hand, it's the render and not the preview it might be displacement settings that are the problem.

Have you morphed the figure?  Depending on your version of Poser, you may need to go to the Body actor of his manliness and under Properties, make sure that Include Morphs and Include Scales are checked...

Well, I don't know if it is a conforming issue actually now. Though I am sure as I continue to work with this it may still be a problem. I started fresh with just the base and no morphs. I applied the m4 mat files to the hip and to the gens. I also conformed the genital figure to the m4 figure. After doing a render this is what it looks like. It isn't floating anymore (though I think it may after I apply any morphs to the m4 figure). But the color isn't right. As you can see it turns a shade of red. Here are some screen shots of the advanced tab and the render. Oh, I am using poser 8 with firefly render at next to top quality rendering.

The ambient channel is active for the genitals and it is not so for the torso texture.  I am willing to bet that the ambient chip is a deep red.  I would change the genital PoserSurface node to match the torso.  That may fix your problem.

Yep, that took care of the texture problem. Thanks. I am going to have to try and figure out the problem with the morph dethatch issue now.

I just took a look and they were not checked. But when I checked them and conformed it again the morphs I made to the m4 body did not transfer over. Here is a question...I don't remember if I had to activate the morph++ on the genitals like I had to do for the base of m4. do you have to do that? Maybe the morphs are just not there for it if I never set it up?

There is only a limited set of morphs on the gens. You will need to use the x, y and z translation dials to fit them to the body.

shante posted Wed, 12 November 2014 at 2:29 PM

After you get the fit and color issues worked out there are addition morphs etc at Renderotica and I think at Male Poser art I think its' called. Couldn't find the addie, sorry.

hborre posted Wed, 12 November 2014 at 6:37 PM

Maleposerotica contains additional morphs for 3rd party male genitalia.

AmbientShade posted Wed, 12 November 2014 at 8:27 PM

I'm thinkin the OP is having probs getting the Morphs++ morphs to correspond with the genitals, not that he's looking for additional morphs.

Is that correct?

If so, can you list which morphs you're having problems with?

I have most of the official morph sets for M4 - of the ones I know about anyway - and so far, only three of the Morphs++ FBMs don't work correctly with the gens. Those would be Bulk, Heavy and Beerbelly. The gens don't follow the morphs, so they get halfway hidden.

I haven't taken the time to check all the other sets tho.
