I'm trying to buy this item

http://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/?ViewProduct=107868

the product page has it as free $0.00

but when I try to check out I'm told my cart doesn't meet the minimum requirement of $3.50.

I can't see anywhere on the product page a requirement to get this free, I also can't find any information on this anywhere else.

Hi.

There is a minimum purchase amount of $3.50 to checkout with products. The item you have in your cart is indeed a $0 product, but you must have a product that is at least $3.50 in price to be able to checkout of the system.

Why, that seems a bit unfair especially as I can't seem to find this information on the product page or anywhere else, it would be nice if you had it somewhere where it could be seen.

Even Daz advertise that things 'are free with a purchase'.

I will take that to our next meeting and see if we can post that somewhere for future reference. :) It has always been in effect to some degree.

Sorry but that implies you don't want new customers only those who are familiar with your 'ways'; to be honest I wonder if its even legal to offer something free but not advertise the conditions.

I really am pretty appalled by this I have been a member for years and didn't know about your conditions, and if I was a new comer I wouldn't be all that impressed.

Yep, same here. Took me 15 years to discover there was a $3.50 minimum. If you're going to permit vendors offering FREE items, eliminate the minimum cost at the POS, or limit the vendor to the FREE category.
