I guess I need some (expert) help with the following issue.
I'm creating a Poser animation, which includes a spotlight following a character in the scene. Simple, just using PointAt and Poser does the job.
I use the Octane addon to transfer my scene (to Octane), and before doing so I've added an emitter to my spotlight (parented, using the script for this).
In Octane, I have assigned an appropriate IES profile to turn the emitter into a spotlight, and for the frame 0 still, everything works out.
Now, when my character starts a walk, the Poser spotlight follows, the emitter rotates accordingly ... but in Octane the spotlight stands still.
Even when I unparent the emitter and manually animate its rotation, the Octane spotlight stands still. It only moves when the Direction / Rotation are adjusted.
Of course I can re-orient it again by altering the Direction / Rotation of the IES distribution like I did to match light and character in frame 0, but that's pretty tedious in rendering out a complete animation in Octane ( in the end I need 4 minutes @ 25fps = 6000 frames).
Someone for ideas on how to get a following spotlight in Octane ? Thanks !

Usually I'm wrong. But to be effective and efficient, I don't need to be correct or accurate.
