Hi all,
I'd like to achieve a render with similar result as the following image. Any ideas regarding lighting, settings etc is welcome. In case someone is interested in creating a scene that I can purchase please contact me.
Required: V4, PP2014
Thanks everyone in advance!

I know. Not interested in the stars and glows. Only interested in a similar render result. Mostly light as the image is really vivid and bright without anything being burnt, as well as the shadows are great.

I think this is as close as I've been able to get to that type of look. If my memory is correct this was done without post-work (not including the background). The type of skin texture plays a really big part in creating the effect that you want.

This is the closest that I've gotten to getting a painted look. I don't remember if post work was done on this or not. If I did post-work then was then it wasn't much more than maybe color adjustment. This is A4, I think I lost this character and light setting in a hard drive crash. The one thing that helped in both pictures was that I didn't render in the highest quality settings. If you like I can see if I can find the settings for the anime picture.

I have to agree that it looks more digital than a straight render, perhaps very extensive post work.

Here is my suggestion. Use the comic-book color render setting in preview ... play with the camera angles, contrast (in the bottom of the pose panel) and I think you may come up with something similar. I through this together ... is this sort of what you are looking for? I used the technique I described.

I wonder if upping the ambient on the skin wouldn't help with this look??
I aim to update it about once a month. Oh, and it's free!

I agree with others. I don't think it's a render.
The tell-tale fringe around the figure (and the poor and very different resolution of the background) shows that it's a crude cut-out from something with a different background. You can get a fringe from Poser renders, but they're never that thick. So if it is a render, it's probably not the "artist's" own work. But the anatomy of the elbows and shoulders doesn't look to me like any figures out there, and the hair definitely looks painted.

Yep. It's ripped from a MMORPG. Here's the original.

How's this? Of course as mentioned above, the skin shader will determine the hue and not just the lights themselves.

Take a look at my works and if you find a lighting that you like i could explain how i did it..
this could be a 3d render but it needs a lot of adjustment to look like the image you posted...
see all the rim lights? Those are painted...and the hair also...not to mention eyes reflections and face feautures...
poser tends to render a little bit flat and you must be a master in understanding how specular lughts work to get a descent work like this...
